MY DOODLIE BOOKIE
My outside reading book is Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. My book is very interesting, but really weird. This book goes from him telling about his family to the war and it doesn't make sence to me at all! my favorite part so far is when hes talking about his daughter and hes saying that she has piano thighs. This book is very crazy and sometimes it doesnt make any sence at all to me. There were many differnt things happening in this book warps, killings and aliens. The play The Rocky Horror Picture Show would really fit this book. 'Let's Do The TimeWarp' would mainly fit this. Every so pages there was always a time warp between his real life to flash backs to the war. I think its going to be hard makng a movie out of this because there is so much activities going on.

taste the rainbow......!!
To Kill A Mockingbird as I read it left me inspired by the message and amazed on how it was worte and how everything and everyone had a part in the book. This is a very emotional book, people can read this book in many differnt ways, and many people can feel differnt feelings when they read it.
When I read the book the thing that disturbed me was how most people in Maycomb talked about Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. They talked about them like they knew everything about them, when they didn't. That just shows you what kind of people live in our world. People in Maycomb started rumors and told storys all the time.
Alot of racism and injustic happend. Like Tom Robinson, he was a black man so everyone looked at him odd and didn't want to get invold with him. alot of the racism and injustice happend around his trial. People in the courtroom belived Bob Ewell and Mayella Ewell even befor they heard Toms side of the story. After the trial Tom went to jail, he got shot 17 times. Do you really think shooting a man 17 time is really neccessary?
Harper Lee really made me think throught out this whole book. She made me think about what and how everything was important, it really made me think hard past what I really know. Harper Lee made me respect and understand good liturature. She put so many ideas, characters and themes in the whole book. She also put so much detail and thoughts on one page, how many writers do you know do that?
Harper Lee made me feel like I was actually in the book, like Atticus was really my dad and he was talking to me. I felt like I was right next to jem when he would get angry or confused or I was really outside the jail talking to Mr. Cunningham.
This book really got to me. I really saw what our world was really like. Yet, this was back then but most of what happend still happends today like racism, gender, social class and much more. Our world will never change. It really makes me mad that people can't just treat everyone equally and not care about the color of their skin. What everyone needs to relize is we are all brothers and sisters and we all are EQUAL!
