picture

I think this image retaltes to Great Expectations because this is a collage it has many images. In the book there was many symbols and things that really there isnt just one picture. All the pictures are dark because all through out the book it was very dark and stormy. Alot of the images Pip went through when he was little to where he is now. I think all the pictures represent something in Great Expectations.

LATE- GE question

All through out the book Charles Dickens keeps bringing up Pips sister bring him up by hand. Like I know that she saved him and what not but why does it come up so many times?? Is it leading to something??

Ohhh i thought of something

Okay so here it goes I was looking through my movies and think "does this remind me of Great Expectations?" and non really did. So I finally found one that did this was Soooo hard!! But I truely thought that The Lizzie McGuire movie was perfect.
Lizzie really represents Pip. They were the same in many ways. The setting also took place in Europe also. Then there's Lizzies best friend Gordo he I thought represented Biddy. Next there is Kate that is Lizzies evil enemy. She really reminded me of Drummle.
One day the mean teacher that I think could be Jaggars took them to the Trive fountain and Lizzie met this guy that really reminds me of Estella.
Lizzie kept sneaking out to hang with this boy. She really liked him and she loved the fancy things "becoming a gentalmen" So when Lizzie would go out and hang with this boy Gordo would have to lie to keep her out of trouble. Lizzie kept feeling bad. "guilty" but kept doing what she was doing.
Pallo which is the boy. Asked Lizzie to sing for him at a concert because his ex-girlfriend was apparently lip singing ( she wasn't) but he asked her so that she wouldn't get sued. What he did was illegal. Lizzie was obviously not isabella. "crime and punishment"
Then Isabella came and Lizzie and her be came friends which I think is Herbert. But Isabella comes and saves Lizzie from Paulina evil plan
These storys were so much alike I can't believe I found a story they both show a message a out humanity.

Pip

This quote was really confusing, but the message is that Pip is referring to life. He looks and sees every aspect of it. As if it were a series of links in a chain. He compares his to Miss Havisham's. He sees how illiterate Joe is compared to Miss Havisham and he decides that he wants to be educated and not a poor dumb child always embarrassing himself. This is definitely a turning point in his life because he grows up and matures. He sees that he will not get far if he continues in his childish ways. The links made of iron and thorns represented Bad moments in his life, which might include the choices he made, the fact that he could barely read or write, and always goofed around. Some moments that might be gold or flowers would be when he realizes Joe's trade is common or low. When he meets Miss Havisham he sees his life can be much greater.

My Chain started when my brothers went off to college, I realized i no longer had to depend on others. That i could,  and had to start taking care of myself. It had good aspects and bad, now i am more emotional and insecure. I try not to get close to people because i'm afraid they will go away like my brothers did. On the positive side, I can take care of my self. I learned the skills necessary to be independent. I learned to cook, do laundry, and clean up after myself. So while i gained self reliability, I lost my trust in others.
